Warmachine received a number of repacks, consolidating multi-purchase units into one code.  The new units each contain 1 Leader and 5 Grunts.  Available this week are Cygnar Field Mechaniks($17.49), Protectorate Choir of Menoth ($22.39), and Khador Battle Mechaniks ($19.59).

The items from Privateer Press are all expected to release on January 26th.  Wyrd’s release schedule is somewhat looser, but they should arrive the last week of the month or very early February.

Hello gamers!

Welcome to the newest Chaos Mail Order blog. My name is Kevin Kucharski. Before I go on to rant, rave, and review all things miniature I think I’ll take some time to give you an idea of who is talking at you right now.

I’ve been involved in gaming since I was fourteen years old. I still remember buying my first pack of Magic: The Gathering cards with my lawn mowing money at the end of that summer. From then on it was an adventure that literally shaped the direction of my life. From Magic I jumped to Mage Knight, from MK to the then new Lord of the Rings miniature game from Games Workshop. From LOTR I was introduced to the whole family of Games Workshop games. I still remember my first box of Chaos Space Marines, nothing like the smell of uncut sprues. From there I’ve tried nearly every miniatures game that has come onto the market. Some I’ve loved, some I’ve hated, and some of them I’m not too sure about.

Enough of that ancient history! Nowadays I regularly play a number of games. As an avid Games Workshop fan I own and play a number of Warhammer 40,000 armies, an extraordinarily large Warhammer Fantasy Battles Vampire Counts army. More recently I’ve come into owning and playing a large number of Malifaux models from Wyrd Miniatures. On the cutting edge of my personal gaming news I’m looking forward to trying the MKII Warmachine/Hordes game from Privateer Press, after having not enjoyed aspects of the previous rules set, I’m eager to experience what has changed.

Now I’m not just a gamer, I’m a hobbyist as well. Painting and modeling are things that I enjoy almost as much as actually playing the games that the models belong to. While I’m not an award-winning painter I like to think that I am a skilled and efficient painter with a lot of valuable insight into the hobby aspect of the games we love. Locally, I’m known as the go-to guy when somebody has a painting question. Hopefully the rest of you see what I have to say, in that regard, as valuable too.

While there are many gaming blogs out there, I hope that I can offer a unique perspective on the miniatures games that we play. I look forward to talking about the issues that face our beloved hobby. To talking about that companies that we sometimes love and hate (or both at once). From tactics to painting tips I hope to cover it all. Also don’t get the impression that this blog will be another Games Workshop love fest, while they may be the big boy in the room, they are not the only one that does something worth talking about. So you can look forward to a variety of topics covering a variety of game systems. With that being said, thank you for reading and be sure to return every week for a new post!
